New Patient Registration
We regret to inform you that, due to current pressures on the practice, we have taken the decision to limit the number of new patient registrations at Bewbush Medical Centre. This means the patient registration process will operate in a different way and could involve registering with an alternative practice.
For assistance with finding a GP Surgery in Sussex to register with, please contact the NHS Sussex Allocations Teams on 0300 140 9855. Or email [email protected] stating the full names of everyone who needs to register, and your full address. The team will provide you with the available practice options and arrange for an allocation if necessary.
However, we will continue to register the following patients in the usual way:
- – newborn or adopted babies of parents already registered at the Practice who are still living within our boundary.
- – first degree relatives of patients already registered at the Practice who are living at the same address as registered patients and are still living within our boundary.
Your NHS number is usually required, which you can find on the NHS website.

These fact sheets have been written to explain the role of UK health services, the National Health Service (NHS), to newly-arrived individuals seeking asylum. They cover issues such as the role of GPs, their function as gatekeepers to the health services, how to register and how to access emergency services.
Special care has been taken to ensure that information is given in clear language, and the content and style has been tested with user groups.
